An additional feature is the option to include external 3DS, 3D-DXF and VRML 1 objects during planning. The ability to position objects using numerical reference points allows unrestricted and detailed construction.

A further useful software feature of Ashampoo® 3D CAD PRO is the ability to create multi-layered walls, ceilings and floors using different materials such as insulation, plaster and concrete flooring, with properties that can be specified accurately to the millimeter. For further processing data can be exported as PDF lists showing quantities, allocated task items and a calculation of costs.

Intuitive plan compilation allows for the individual design of complete construction drawings with an output size of up to DIN A0, which conform to DIN and contain cross sections, floor plans, text blocks and 2D symbols. For example, for client presentation various impressions of the planned object can be rendered with high resolution, so that even in the early stages of a project it is possible to gauge the atmosphere created by the final object.

The software offers a viable alternative to the established, extremely expensive CAD products, the costs of which often run to several thousand euro for a single user. A main feature is total continuity right through to the production of construction plans.
